As one of the world's leading coding bootcamps, the Software Engineering bootcamp is an intensive, project-based learning experience, where students learn software engineering and work on real-world web applications and sites, including front-end and back-end development work.

Professional backgrounds vary quite a bit in coding bootcamps, as demand for full-stack and general software engineering skills has increased across all fields and industries, including finance, marketing, web development, product management, and more.

In this coding bootcamp, led by Educators with experience in the field, students will use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node, and more to gain hands-on experience in full-stack development, including building and deploying multi-page web applications, collaborating with other developers, and working with databases. This knowledge is then applied to complete a range of real-world client projects, in multiple sprints, as well as a final portfolio piece that puts new skills to the test.

BrainStation's Career Success Team is dedicated to creating a learning experience that extends far beyond the classroom, providing a framework for aspiring Software Engineers to find success built on insights and input from technical recruiters, career coaches, BrainStation Educators, and alumni.

The team will help you refine your software engineering portfolio, connect you with industry professionals, prepare for the career search and interview process, and showcase your development work to peers and hiring partners.

Programs are starting on April 30th and June 4th, 2024. Subsequent start dates will be announced soon.

This program is funded by Upskill Canada [powered by Palette Skills] and the Government of Canada. The monetary value of the bootcamp is $16,500 CAD most of which is funded through the program. Cost to learners is a $250 CAD tuition contribution.

We offer a monthly workshop to those in the application process to cover the fundamentals of Software Engineering and help answer questions around the Admissions Challenge. By the end of the hands-on Software Engineering workshop, participants will have gained the experience required to complete the Admissions Challenge. Code to Career aims to train 800 individuals from coast to coast to coast, and is focused on supporting individuals from communities that continue to be underrepresented in tech. Currently, we are enrolling:

Individuals from underrepresented genders

• Individuals from underrepresented genders include women, trans women, trans men, non-binary people, and others who are marginalized because of their gender identity or expression from AB, BC, MB, NL, NS, NT, NU, ON, PE, SK, and YT. With an additional focus on those individuals from underrepresented genders who are also Black, Indigenous, other Racialized people, and newcomers.

Indigenous Individuals

• Indigenous individuals from AB, BC, MB, NL, NS, NT, NU, ON, PE, SK, and YT.

Individuals from underrepresented regions of Canada

• Individuals from Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. With an additional focus on those individuals who are from underrepresented regions who are also Black, other Racialized people, and newcomers.
